Product Questions

What is the Fasciitis Fighter ROUND 2?

The Fasciitis Fighter ROUND 2 is a physio-designed foot strengthening device built to perform the evidence-based high-load heel raise protocol for plantar heel pain. It's made from high-density EVA foam and features a curved design that extends the big toe, engaging the windlass mechanism and placing targeted load through the plantar fascia during calf raises.

The ROUND 2 is 30cm long โ€” double the length of the original Fasciitis Fighter โ€” which allows you to perform two-foot (bilateral) heel raises for beginners, and progress to single-leg raises as your strength improves. Designed by an Australian physiotherapist with 18 years of experience. Used by professional teams in the NBA, NFL, NRL and AFL.

What is the original Fasciitis Fighter?

The original Fasciitis Fighter is the compact, single-leg version of the device. It performs the same evidence-based high-load strengthening protocol as the ROUND 2 โ€” using the same curved EVA foam design to engage the windlass mechanism during heel raises โ€” but is sized for single-leg use only.

It's lighter and more portable, making it a great option for those already comfortable with single-leg heel raises or who want a travel-friendly tool.

What's the difference between the two โ€” and which one is right for me?

The only difference is length. The ROUND 2 is 30cm (double the length of the original), which means it can support both feet at once for two-leg heel raises โ€” ideal if you're just starting the protocol or want to work both feet in a single session.

The original Fasciitis Fighter is designed for single-leg heel raises only.

Choose the ROUND 2 if: you want to start with two-foot raises and progress to single-leg, or if you want to work both feet.
Choose the original if: you're already comfortable with single-leg work, or want a compact, portable option.

If you're unsure, the ROUND 2 is the most versatile choice and our best seller.

What are the Toe Strong Bands?

Toe Strong are resistance bands built specifically for toe and foot strengthening โ€” not generic gym bands. Each pack contains three custom 3cm x 48cm loop bands in light, medium and heavy resistance levels, made from 100% natural latex.

They're designed to strengthen the intrinsic foot muscles โ€” including big toe flexors and abductors โ€” which play a key role in arch support, balance and overall foot function. They're the ideal complement to the Fasciitis Fighter heel raise protocol.

Note: contains latex.

What is the Foot Bridge?

The Foot Bridge is a physio-designed exercise tool for short foot bridge exercises โ€” a targeted movement that isolates and activates the intrinsic and extrinsic muscles of the foot and ankle to build arch strength, stability and balance.

It features a two-part adjustable design that fits all foot sizes, and is made from ultra-high-density EVA foam. Dimensions: 39.5 x 36 x 3cm | Weight: 600g.

What is the Scalene Slant Board?

The Scalene Slant Board is a dual-angle EVA foam slant board designed for calf stretching, big toe mobilisation, ankle mobility work and lower limb strengthening. Its triangular 'scalene' shape provides two different angles for a wider range of exercises.

Made from ultra-high-density EVA foam with an anti-slip grooved surface โ€” suitable for barefoot use. Weight: 1.5kg | Dimensions: 37 x 13 x 51cm.

Key uses: calf and arch stretching, big toe mobility, ankle mobility, squat and lunge range of motion, lower limb strengthening.

Using the Products

How does the Fasciitis Fighter work?

The Fasciitis Fighter positions the big toe in extension using its curved EVA foam design. This engages the windlass mechanism โ€” a natural biomechanical function of the foot โ€” placing targeted tension through the plantar fascia.

From this position, you perform controlled heel raises, progressively loading the plantar fascia, calf muscles and intrinsic foot muscles with each rep. Over time, this high-load progressive approach builds the strength and load tolerance the foot needs to handle everyday activity and sport.

How often should I use it?

The Fasciitis Fighter is designed to be used once per day, or every second day to allow recovery between sessions. As your strength and tolerance improve, you may find you need it less frequently.

Note: due to the density of the EVA foam, the top curve may compress slightly over time with regular use. Excessive daily use will reduce the lifespan of the device.

How should it feel during exercise?

Gradual progression at a tolerated load is important. Before starting, you should be able to comfortably perform normal calf raises on a flat surface.

During use, you may feel some tension under the foot โ€” and in some cases, mild discomfort. This is normal. However, pain should not increase beyond mild discomfort. If your symptoms worsen, stop the exercise and consult your health professional. Some initial calf muscle soreness is also common if you're new to calf raises.

How long before I see results?

The research behind the high-load strengthening protocol (Rathleff et al.) used a 12-week program, with participants performing heel raises once daily. Most people report noticeable improvements in foot strength and function within 4โ€“8 weeks of consistent use, though individual results vary.

Consistency matters more than intensity โ€” performing the exercise correctly every day is more effective than occasional high-effort sessions.

Does it come with an exercise guide?

Yes. All Fasciitis Fighter products include access to exercise guides and video tutorials. You can also find our full video guide library on the Video Guides page.

Are there conditions where I shouldn't use the Fasciitis Fighter?

Yes. Do not use the Fasciitis Fighter if you have any of the following:

  • Acute or reactive plantar fasciitis
  • Plantar fascia tears
  • Foot fractures
  • Acute calf or Achilles injury
  • Undiagnosed heel or foot pain

If any of these apply to you, please consult your doctor or health professional before use. Using the device incorrectly or too aggressively can increase pain levels.

Should I still see my health professional?

Yes. The Fasciitis Fighter is an exercise tool โ€” it does not replace professional assessment or advice. Always use it under the guidance of your health professional, who can provide an individualised program appropriate for your condition and loading capacity.

How do I care for the products?

Keep your Fasciitis Fighter products away from direct sunlight and extreme heat, which can degrade the EVA foam over time. They can be cleaned with warm soapy water as needed. Keep away from pets and children.
